This is NOT suitable for 6-8 hens, as advertised.
It is an awful pity, as the coop has some lovely features – multiple access doors, even a little window with shutter, nice nesting box, pull-out poop tray for easy cleaning – but I will have to build a separate run and add it on to the outside, if I am ever to keep full-grown hens in it. The roosting area, to be fair, could accommodate 6 hens, but the bottom forage area would have them jammed together like a factory farm. I currently have 6 young chicks in it, and it’s barely big enough for them.
The design and look is pleasing, but buyer, be aware that it is only suitable for 2 adult hens, at most.
