Features of Our Chicken Coop
Our chicken coop is designed with both your chickens’ well-being and your convenience in mind. It features locking hinged doors and a fox-proof catch to keep your flock safe from predators. The nest box and felt roof with a tile style provide a comfortable and secure home, while the roof also opens for extra ventilation.
Easy Maintenance & Durability
We’ve made cleaning simple with a slide-out metal floor that allows for easy removal of waste. The chicken coop is built with high-quality, durable wood and treated with a water-based fungicidal treatment to resist the elements. For long-lasting protection, we recommend applying a wood preservative or sealer to the roof and joints shortly after purchase and at regular intervals. Keeping the coop clean and treated will ensure it remains in excellent condition.
Important Sizing Information
When selecting a chicken coop, please consider the size of your birds. The recommended number of birds for this coop is a guideline based on ISPCA standards. For example, the maximum number is suitable for birds the size of a Quail, while the smaller number is for average-sized chickens like a Rhode Island Red. To ensure you have the right fit for your flock, we highly recommend checking the specific dimensions of both the run and the housing area.
